Hey Thomas Newman, how 'bout you win an oscar

One of the more underrated composers of our time, Thomas Newman has been nominated for best original score 8 times. Not once did he win a single on of them. It is sad he should win, I'm telling you he should have won for The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Finding Nemo, and The Good German.

His style I can describe as quiet composing. A heavy use of piano when developing his melodic themes have made him different from most of his fellow composers. The majority of the pieces he preforms are fluid, like air or water. The themes flow out of the screen and connect the audience with the picture. Alone the music he has created is just a wonderful sit down and relax music to listen to.

He is by far one of my favorite composers, and possibly in fact my favorite.
